What we do

Why we’re here

We’re here to help the sceptical explore faith. We’re here to help the searching find meaning. We’re here to help the hurting find freedom. Whatever your story, and wherever you are on your journey, we’re here to help you.

Who we are

Mosaic is a friendly and informal church committed to loving Basingstoke into life. We’re a community of ordinary people, built together into something beautiful.

Bring Good News

Bring Good News

Everyone should have the chance to explore life’s big questions with a friend. Everyone should have the chance to ask about life, faith and meaning with someone who cares. Mosaic is a group of ordinary people who have found purpose, forgiveness, new life and family. We’ve got some surprising stories to tell of the difference faith has made in our everyday lives.

We believe the message of Christianity is the best news you’ll ever hear, and exploring it is the best decision you’ll ever make. That’s why, for us, a big part of ‘loving Basingstoke into life’ is loving people towards Jesus.

Follow Jesus

Follow Jesus

We’re a community of people committed to loving one another in practical ways. We pray, eat, laugh and do everyday life together. Mosaic is a place to feel at home and experience real family.

We gather on Sundays as a community to know, worship and enjoy God. We gather in the week in ‘Life Groups’ to grow in loving God, loving one another and loving our neighbour.

We’re aware we’ve still got our ‘L’ plates on as we learn to be with Jesus, become like Jesus and do the things Jesus did. But looking back we see the difference God has made in our journey. That’s why we’re persuaded that following Jesus is the most urgent and beautiful thing you can do with your life.

Care for the Hurting

Care for the Hurting

We’re committed to ‘loving Basingstoke until the need has gone’ and we partner with churches and charities who share our vision.

We want to see our town free from debt so we’ve partnered with Christian’s Against Poverty to provide Debt Help. We want every child to have the best start to life so we’ve partnered with Home for Good to see ‘a home for every child that needs one’. We want everyone facing mental ill health to experience restorative care in a safe and welcoming community, so we’ve partnered with Kintsugi Hope.

As the needs of the town change and grow, we’re always considering new ways to serve and support people. If you need help, or want to partner, we’d love to hear from you.

Start and Strengthen Churches

Start and Strengthen Churches

In 2008 several families were prompted to start a church in Basingstoke that would be a city on a hill. A community that would change the story of the town one life at a time. The church has grown, our name has changed and we’ve “moved house” but our vision has never changed. Since then we’ve started two more churches nearby and strengthened many more through our relationship with the Commission family of churches.
